COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVE AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH OERTEL ARCHITECTS
WHEREAS, Oertel Architects was awarded the design services contract for the Public Works Facility via
Resolution 8561 on April 25, 2016; and,
WHEREAS, additional soil boring were required in the amount of$1,000.00 and,
WHEREAS, additional design services related to the structural and mechanical design of the Public
Works Facility were required due to the building layout change, value engineering effort and cold storage area
adjustments ; and,
WHEREAS, the cost of the additional design services is $25,700; and,
WHEREAS, there was $12,000 contingency as part of the design services contract; and
WHEREAS there is sufficient funding in the Special Projects budget (480-4180-7050).
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County,
Minnesota as follows:
1. Oertel Architects is authorized to perform the additional design related services due to the building layout
change, value engineering effort and cold storage area adjustments for the Public Works Facility.
2. Additional required funding in the amount of$16,000.00 is approved and shall come from the Special
Projects Fund (480-4180-7050).
3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate documents
to effectuate the actions contemplated by this Resolution.
4. The Mayor and City Administrator, staff and consultants are hereby authorized and directed to take any
and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this
Resolution.
