COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION (EDC)
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Commission (EDC) consist of members
appointed by the Economic Development Authority (EDA); and
WHEREAS, there are three (3) vacant seats on the EDC; and
WHEREAS, Dan Larson and Laurie Shoop term seats expired on December 31, 2016;
and
WHEREAS, Dan Larson and Laurie Shoop have resubmitted applications for a further
term; and
WHEREAS, Royal Dahlstrom resigned from his seat on November 8, 2016; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Dahlstrom seat is vacant with the term seat expiring on December 17,
2017; and
WHEREAS, there remains one vacant seat on the EDC; and
WHEREAS, City Staff received two (2) commission applications for reappointment from
Dan Larson and Laurie Shoop; and
WHEREAS, Staff recently received two (2) additional applications, and the EDC will
consider these applications at their next meeting on January 20, 2017, to fill a seat vacated by
Mr. Dahlstrom; and
WHEREAS, the EDC considered the applications for Dan Larson and Laurie Shoop at
their last EDC meeting and recommended them for reappointment to the EDC.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,that the EDA does hereby appoint the following
below to the EDC:
Name Term Expiration
Dan Larson December 31, 2019
Laurie Shoop December 31, 2019
Adopted this 9th day of January, 2017.
