STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING SEVERANCE PAYMENT TO
KATHY BEDNAR, MOUNDS VIEW POLICE RECORDS/EVIDENCE TECHNICIAN
WHEREAS, Kathy Bednar submitted her resignation for retirement and her last day
of employment was September 30, 2016; and
WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused sick leave time is 585.15 hours;
and
WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused vacation is 332.11 hours; and
WHEREAS, Kathy Bednar's current rate of pay is $24.56 per hour; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel
Manual, the maximum potential payout of accrued/unused sick time will be 585.15 hours x
65% x her hourly rate of $24.56 = $9,341.33 into Kathy Bednar's RHSP; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Sections 3.45 and 3.47 of the Mounds View
Personnel Manual, the maximum potential payout of accrued/unused vacation time will be
332.11 hours x her hourly rate of $24.56 = $8,156.62 to her RHSP; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council
approves a one-time payout of sick time not to exceed $9,341.33 into Kathy Bednar's
RHSP in accordance with the Mounds View Personnel Manual.
NOW, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council
approves a one-time payout of vacation time not to exceed $8,156.62 to her RHSP in
accordance with the Mounds View Personnel Manual.
