CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE HIRING OF SARAH DAVID
TO THE POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the establishment of an eligibility list for
the position of Police Officer for current vacancies in the Police Department, and the
Police Civil Service Commission has approved the procedures for establishing an eligibility
register to fill these vacancies, and;
WHEREAS, the approved hiring procedures consist of a competitive written
examination, training and experience scoring, oral interviews, physical agility testing, a
thorough background investigation, physical examination and a psychological examination
and;
WHEREAS, the Civil Service Commission has certified the eligibility list for the
opening, and Sarah David is the top candidate, and her background investigation, physical,
psychological, and physical agility testing have all been successfully completed, and;
WHEREAS, staff of the Police Department has met with Sarah David, and the Chief
of Police recommends that she be appointed to the position of Police Officer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mounds
View, Ramsey County, Minnesota does hereby appoint Sarah David to the position of
Police Officer at the step one rate of pay ($22.63/hr) as indicated in the Law Enforcement
Labor Services contract.
Adopted this 14th day of November, 2016.
