CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
A Resolution Approving the Hire of Jacob Martin to the
Housing/Code Enforcement Inspector Position in the
Community Development Department
WHEREAS, upon direction from the Mounds View City Council, the Housing/Code
Enforcement Inspector position was advertised; and
WHEREAS, thirteen (13) applications were received for the position and five (5)
were chosen for interview; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Jacob Martin's skills and experience were determined to most
closely match the duties and responsibilities as outlined in the job description; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Jacob Martin will begin his new position on July 25, 2017, at Step 3
of the wage scale as adopted herein below.
Step 1 (80%) Step 1.5 (82.5%) Step 2 (85%) Step 3 (90%) Step 4 (95%) Step 5 (100%)

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council
appoints Mr. Jacob Martin to the position of Housing/Code Enforcement Inspector in the
Community Development Department.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the City Council approves the salary scale for the
Housing/Code Enforcement Inspector position as indicated herein,with a starting salary for
Mr. Martin at$28.33/hour(Step 3), with an increase to Step 4 of the salary range after one
year of employment contingent on satisfactory job performance.
Adopted this 10th day of July, 2017.
