Home My WebLink AboutResolution 8799 RESOLUTION 8799 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA APPROVING THE EXPANSION OF THE HOCKEY RINK AT HILLVIEW PARK WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission, along with Public Works Staff, has been evaluating options for the hockey rink at Hillview Park; and, WHEREAS, options have included eliminating the rink, moving the rink north of its current location, or making the rink larger; and, WHEREAS, the Commission felt it would be best to leave the rink in the same general location but expand its length to the west; and, WHEREAS, Staff received a quote from Century Fence of Forest Lake, MN, to install the metal frame and chain link fencing at a cost of $8,025.00; and, WHEREAS, Public Works Staff will perform the asphalt and soil removal, installation of aglime, new boards and painting of the boards at a cost of $6,825.00; and, WHEREAS, funding for this project would come from the Park Dedication account 451-4470-7050, with a budget of $14,850.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: 1. Accepts the quote from Century Fence, Inc. of Forest Lake, MN, to install metal posts and chain link fencing for the expansion of the hockey rink at Hillview Park, for $8,025.00. 2. Approves the purchase of aglime and lumber from vendors for the purpose of this project at a cost of $6,825.00. 3. Total project cost not to exceed $14,850.00, to be funded from the Park Dedication account, 451-4470-7050. 4. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution. 5. The Mayor and City Administrator, staff and consultants are hereby authorized and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
