STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT FOR FIRE DISPATCHING
SERVICES WITH ANOKA COUNTY
WHEREAS, the City Council approved an Agreement with Anoka County in
December of 1998 for fire dispatch services; and,
WHEREAS, for many years, the fees paid to Anoka County were stable and
predictable, ranging from $3,790 charged in 2000 to $3,985 in 2013; and,
WHEREAS, beginning in 2014, the dispatch fees, which are invoiced in the year
following the year in which the service was provided, became unpredictable,
disproportionate and in excess of what was budgeted for the year; and,
WHEREAS, at the City's request, the Anoka County Attorney's office, working with
the City's Attorney, prepared revisions to the agreement that would provide for predictable
fees for the dispatch services.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View City Council does
hereby approve the revised Agreement for Fire Dispatching Services with Anoka County.
