RESOLUTION APPROVING SEVERANCE FOR JEFFREY WIENKE,
PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKER
WHEREAS, Jeffrey Wienke has retired as a Public Works maintenance worker for
the City of Mounds View; his last day of employment was June 30, 2017; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the approved Public Works Labor Agreement, Mr.
Wienke is eligible for a cash payout of his vacation hours and is eligible to receive 50% of
his sick leave hours deposited into his RHSP; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Wienke's balance of accrued and unused vacation time is 314.09
hours and his sick leave balance is 352.10 hours; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Wienke's rate of pay upon retirement was $28.29 per hour.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council
approves severance to Jeffrey Wienke consistent with the terms outlined within the Public
Works Labor Agreement as follows:
Hours Hourly rate Payout
Vacation Hours 314.09 $28.29 $ 8,885.61 Cash Payout
50% of Sick Leave 176.05 $28.29 $ 4,980.45 into RHSP
Total Severance: $13,866.06
