STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE MOUNDS VIEW ECONOMC
DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION REMAIN NOTIFIED AND INVOLVED IN THE
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW'S DISCUSSIONS ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE
PROPOSED MINNESOTA VIKINGS MULTI-PURPOSE FACILITY
ON THE TCAAP SITE IN ARDEN HILLS
WHEREAS, The Mounds View City Council formed the Mounds View Economic
Development Commission (EDC) by Ordinance 542 on June 27, 1994; and,
WHEREAS, Per Chapter408 of the Mounds View City Code, the EDC serves as an advisory
commission to the Mounds View Economic Development Authority on matters relating to fostering a
positive economic climate, encouraging economic development and enhancing the tax base of the
City. The EDC also makes recommendations to the Economic Development Authority regarding
retention and expansion of existing businesses, attraction of desirable new businesses,
redevelopment and rehabilitation opportunities, and other appropriate economic development
strategies; and,
WHEREAS, The EDC agrees that the development of the proposed Minnesota Vikings multi-
purpose facility on the TCAAP site in Arden Hills directly relates to the aforementioned purpose of
the EDC; and,
WHEREAS, The EDC requests to remain notified and involved in the City of Mounds View's
discussions about the aforementioned proposed Minnesota Vikings facility; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Economic Development Commission
hereby approves this resolution of request to the City of Mounds View.
