CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AUTHORIZING REQUEST FOR QUOTES FOR ROOF DRAIN REPAIR AT CITY HALL
WHEREAS, City Hall was renovated in 2005 and new roof drains and piping were installed; and
WHEREAS, the drain lines were not insulated and have been routinely leaking causing the
growth of mold and minor carpet damage; and
WHEREAS, Albertson Engineering has prepared a scope of work to repair the existing roof
drain lines; and
WHEREAS, Institute for Environmental Assessment has prepared a scope of work to remediate
the mold growth in the walls and carpet; and
WHEREAS, the next step in completing the repairs is seeking quotes for the work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View,
Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. Staff is directed to request quotes for repair of the City Hall roof drain.
2. Upon receipt of quotes staff will prepare options for funding this work and present a plan for
completing this work to City Council at a later date.
