hold a public hearing on Monday.
September 25, 2017, commencing
at 6:00 p.m. at the Mounds View
City Hall, 2401 Mounds View Blvd,
Mounds View, Minnesota, 55112,
to consider the first reading and
Introduction of Ordinance 937, an
ordinance concerning the renewal
of the Comcast Cable Television
Franchise.
The City of Mounds View,
through the North Suburban Cable
Commission, has informally nego-
tiated a cable television franchise
With Comcast of Minnesota, Inc.
Members of the public, including
Comcast, may be heard, regarding
the proposed Franchise Ordinance.
The purpose of the public hear-
ing is to afford the public adequate
notice and the opportunity for com-
ment on the cable television fmn-
chise ordinance. A copy of the ca-
ble television franchise ordinance
can be reviewed at Mounds View
City Hall.

A FRANCHISE TO COMCAST OF
MINNESOTA, INC., D/BIA COM -
CAST TO CONSTRUCT, OPER-
ATE, AND MAINTAIN A CABLE
COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM IN
THE CIN OF MOUNDS VIEW;
SETTING FORTH CONDITIONS
ACCOMPANYING THE GRANT
OF THE FRANCHISE; PROVIDING
FOR REGULATION AND USE OF
THE SYSTEM AND THE PUBLIC
RIGHTS-OF-WAY IN CONJUNC-
TION WITH THE CITY'S RIGHT-OF-
WAY ORDINANCE, IF ANY, AND
PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR
THE VIOLATION OF THE PROW
SIONS HEREIN;
The City Council of the City of
Mounds View ordains:
STATEMENT OF INTENT
AND PURPOSE
The City Intends, by the adop-
tion of this Franchise, to bring
about the further development of
a Cable System and the continued
operation of it. Such development
can contribute significantly to the
communication needs and desires
of the residents and citizens of
the City and the public generally.
Further, the City may achieve bet-
ter utilization and improvement of
public services and enhanced eco-
nomic development with the devel-
opment and operation of a Cable
Communication System.
Adoption of this Franchise Is,
in the judgment of the Council, in
the best interests of the City and its
residents.
The specific terms and condi-
tions of the Franchise Ordinance,
Sections 1 to 14, and Exhibits
are available for review at City
Hall, Mounds View City Hell, 2401
Mounds View Boulevard, Mounds
View, MN 55112.
