CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW

STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING HIRING OF KARLA KEYS
WHEREAS, The City of Mounds View posted for a Police Administrative
Assistant; and
WHEREAS, The City of Mounds View posted for the position on its web page
and the League of Minnesota Cities web page; and
WHEREAS, One hundred twenty five (125) applications were received, scored
and nine (9) interviews were conducted; and
WHEREAS, An interview panel comprised of the Police Support Manager, Police
Investigator and the Human Resources Coordinator, conducted a first interview on
December 6, 2017 and selected three (3) candidates for a second interview. On
December 13, 2017 the three (3) candidates appeared for their second interview with
the panel of the Police Support Manager, Chief of Police and the Human Resources
Coordinator. At the conclusion of the second interview, the panel engaged in
discussion and came to a conclusion for a recommendation; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council
approves the hiring of Karla Keys to the position of Police Administrative Assistant
starting January 16, 2018 at Level 2 of the 2018 Compensation plan and upon
successful completion of a 6 month probation and one year employment be moved to
Level 3.
