STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING MISCELLANOUS CASH DONATIONS FOR 2017
WHEREAS, MN Statute 465.03 requires cities to accept donations by resolution;
and
WHEREAS, the City received a cash donation during 2017 in support of
advertising for the Festival in the Park and Community Center website design of $7,964;
and
WHEREAS, the City received several donations for police related activities
including $6,995 for protective gear and safety equipment, $481 for bowl ing-with-a-cop,
$1,769 for shop -with -a -cop, and miscellaneous K9 donations during 2017 totaling $1,488;
and
WHEREAS, the City received a miscellaneous donation for park trees during 2017
totaling $75 and $1,000 for staff training.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council
gratefully acknowledges and accepts the miscellaneous donations of $19,772 from
several donors for 2017.
