A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN ON -SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE FOR
NEW VISION THEATRES FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2430 MOUNDS VIEW
DRIVE, MOUNDS VIEW 15 THEATER
WHEREAS, Charles Alan Goldwater of New Vision Theatres has applied for an
on -sale intoxicating liquor license for the Mounds View 15 Theater; and
WHEREAS, on September 25, 2017, the City Council adopted ordinance 938
revising Municipal Code Section 502 allowing movie theaters to qualify for an on -sale liquor
license; and
WHEREAS, the ordinance went into effect on November 6, 2017; and
WHEREAS, the Applicant has submitted all required application materials and paid
the appropriate fees; and
WHEREAS, the Applicant is current on property taxes and City fees; and
WHEREAS, staff has published notice of a public hearing in the official City
newspaper and mailed notices as required; and,
WHEREAS, no comments have been received regarding this requested license.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does
hereby approve an on -sale intoxicating liquor license for New Vision Theatres for the
property located at 2430 Mounds View Boulevard, legally known as Lot 3, Block 2 Anthony
Properties, subject to satisfactory Building Official and Fire Marshal inspections.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this license shall expire on
June 30, 2018.
