RESOLUTION NO. 8920 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE HIRING OF MELISSA MILLER <br />TO THE POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the establishment of an eligibility list <br />for the position of Police Officer for current vacancies in the Police Department, and the <br />Police Civil Service Commission has approved the procedures for establishing an <br />eligibility register to fill these vacancies; and <br />WHEREAS, the approved hiring procedures consist of a competitive written <br />examination, training and experience scoring, oral interviews, physical agility testing, a <br />thorough background investigation, physical examination and a psychological <br />examination; and <br />WHEREAS, the Civil Service Commission has certified the eligibility list for the <br />opening, and Melissa Miller is the next available candidate on the list, pending <br />successful completion of background investigation, physical and psychological <br />examinations: and <br />WHEREAS, staff of the Police Department has met with Melissa Miller, and the <br />Chief of Police recommends that she be appointed to the position of Police Officer. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota does hereby appoint Melissa Miller to the <br />position of Police Officer at the step one rate of pay ($25.66/hour) as indicated in the <br />Law Enforcement Labor Services contract. <br />Adopted this 12th day of March, 2018. <br />Carol A.
