Meeting Date: April 3, 2017 Type of Business: Work Session City Administrator Review: ______ City of Mounds View Staff Report To: Honorable Mayor and City Council From: Brian Erickson, P.E., Public Works Director/City Engineer Item Title/Subject: I-35W and County Road H Roundabout Monument Discussion Introduction In September 2015, staff discussed the potential for adding a monument at the roundabout on the west side of the new County Road H bridge over I-35W. Since that time Ramsey County has completed a majority of the work in this area including the roundabout. Discussion With this project concluding this year, staff is bringing this item back for Council to discuss what they would like to see as a monument in the roundabout. Attached construction plans show the location and size so that Council can review and discuss ideas. At a minimum, the inclusion of some landscaping is something that could be included relatively easily until more information is available. As part of the construction the center of the roundabout will have grass. Respectfully Submitted, Brian Erickson, P.E.
