10 Ms,Bennett expled that Pam Sheldon and herself met with developers who have indicated=interest in
11; :"development of ptoperty directly across Hightty 10 f'om City Hail. It is her feeling that development of.
12 tbis,;ptroperty would have amajorsimpact on the i ittire direction of the redevelopment of Highway 10. She
13 noted that the property does have'a large wetland.and she has discussed the impact of.the.wetland on the,
14 possibility of developn4ent with pocky Keehn of SE11 The wettand area is,based on the National Wetland
1 S ' Inventory Maps and iota site delineation .,Mr.Keehn has suggested that the wetlandxbe delineated so that

16 ':the city-will know how much of theproperty can actually:be developed. "Additionally,once a delineation •
17 is made,the city can review how a development will impact the city's Local Water Management Plan. -

19 Ms,,Bennett suggested that the city pursue delineation of theproperty to assist M the future development •
20 marlcetfor the.pr'operty. The proposedcost is estimated to be$1,500'which wouldbe•funded through
21 eiisting taxi increment administrative revenues. •

33 Ms:Bennett tinted;that in April the Economic Development Authority looked at different development
34 sections along 1 ighway 10 and identified three priority areas: Section 9 is located front County Road Ito
33 Silver Lake Road.

37 Ms.Bom ett stare#she had;met with the Economic Development Commission to strategize how to proceed
• 38_ with the development of Section 9 At that meeting,they discussed whether the city should continue spot
39; development or if they should be looking at the entire section for coordinated developnnent. The
40 Economic Development Commission-would like direction from the EDA to proceed with requests for
41 proposals forthis section of Highway 10 and to develop a vision and,schematic plan:on what,could be
42 developed in that area. Ms Bennett proceeded to outline the process schedule:if the EDA authorizes the
• 43 EDC to proceed as requested.

45 Ms.Blanchard noted that severalplans have been Worked out Highway 10 projects in previous years., -
46 She wondered if it was feasible to complete another study at this time.
