Item Title/Subject: Review Possible Creation of a County Road 10 Corridor
Visioning Task Force
Background
On October 8 and November 5, 2012, the EDA and City Council discussed the EDC’s
recommendation to possibly create a visioning task force for County Road 10. The
possible task force would be composed of two City Council members, one EDC member,
one Planning Commission member, two or three business representatives (at least one rep.
whose business is located on County Road 10) and one Mounds View resident.
Discussion
At the November 5, 2012, Work Session, the City Council discussed the possible purpose
and goals of the task force but postponed the discussion until the December 3, 2012, Work
Session.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that if the City Council moves forward with creating a visioning task force
for County Road 10, that the City Council approve the task force composition and finalize
the purpose and goals of the task force.
