THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW OFFICE OF THE MAYOR PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, public works services provided in our community are an integral part of our citizens' quality of life; and WHEREAS, the support of an understanding and informed citizenry is vital to the efficient operation of the public works systems and programs such as water, sewers, streets and highways, public buildings, solid waste collection, and snow removal; and WHEREAS, the quality and effectiveness of these facilities, as well as their planning, design and construction, is vitally dependent upon the efforts and skill of public works officials; and WHEREAS, the efficiency of the qualified and dedicated personnel employed in the Public Works Department is greatly enhanced by the people's attitude and understanding of the importance of the work they perform. • NOW, THEREFORE, I, Jerry Linke, Mayor of the City of Mounds View, do hereby proclaim the week of May 19 through May 25, as "NATIONAL PUBLIC WORKS WEEK" in the city of Mounds View, and I call upon all citizens and civic organizations to take this opportunity to acquaint themselves with the operations of our Public Works Department and to recognize the contributions which public works officials make every day to our health, safety and comfort. MAYOR Af 1'F ST: CLERK-ADMINISTRATOR L���ir? 7 • MEMORANDUM ` .O 5 p in TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL FROM: PAUL HARRINGTON, PLANNING TECHNICIAN DATE: April 3, 1991 SUBJECT: CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT, 3030 COUNTY ROAD J JOHN ENGBERG Mr. John Engberg is requesting a Conditional Use Permit to allow 307 square feet of what is now attached garage to be utilized as accessory building/use area. Mounds View Municipal Code allows up to 400 square feet of accessory building/use area with a Conditional Use Permit. This item has been reviewed by the City Council at their March 18, 1991 agenda session. The Mounds View Planning Commission has reviewed the request and . recommended approval. Resolution No. 4067 has been submitted for your consideration. U rri 7. 1 • RESOLUTION NO. 4067 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REQUEST BY JOHN ENGBERG FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW AN OVERSIZED ACCESSORY BUILDING ON HIS PROPERTY AT 3030 COUNTY ROAD J, PLANNING CASE NO. 304-90 WHEREAS the Mounds View City Council has reviewed the request of Mr. John Engberg for a conditional use permit to allow an oversized accessory building on his property at 3030 County Road J; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the Zoning Code and recognizes that the Code allows a 400 square foot accessory building with a conditional use permit; and WHEREAS, the proposed accessory building is 307 square feet which is within the square footage allowed with a conditional use permit; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council • approves the requested Conditional Use Permit contingent upon the following: 1. The Conditional Use Permit is recorded with Ramsey County. 2. The building shall be designed and maintained to provide a uniform appearance with the dwelling unit. 3. The accessory building does not exceed 400 square feet. 4. The only vehicles that may be stored in the accessory building are licensed collector vehicles. 5. No-driveway-and/or apron-shall-be-wit-hin-file-feet-of-the-accessory-building. 6. The accessory building must conform with sections 40.04, Subd. F, and 40.10, Subd. C(2) of the Zoning Code. 7. Should the use for which the permit was granted be changed, the permit shall be subject to reconsideration, revocation or other action as regulated by Chapter 40.25 of this Code. AFIEST: • Mayor (SEAL) City Administrator , . 3 • RESOLUTION NO. 4066 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF LIFT STATION EQUIPMENT FROM A SOLE SOURCE WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has an existing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system which utilizes Auto-Con equipment; and WHEREAS, the reconstruction of the lift station at Bronson Drive and Raymond Avenue is to be connected to this existing system; and WHEREAS, the equipment at this lift station must be compatible with the existing SCADA system equipment; and WHEREAS, the dealer and sole source of Auto-Con equipment is Automatic Systems Company; NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Minnesota, that the Auto-Con equipment is • "non-competitive equipment" within the meaning of Minnesota Statutes, Section 471.36, and therefore is exempted from the competitive bidding requirements; and that the will negotiate the purchase of this equipment form Automatic Systems Company who is the dealer for Auto-Con equipment in the area.
