The Mounds View Planning Commission was 1. Call To Order
called to order by Chair Mountin at 7:33
p.m. on June 9, 1993 .
MEMBERS PRESENT: Commissioners Nelson, 2 . Roll Call
Peterson, Miller, Ruggles, and Chair
Mountin. Commissioners Stevenson and
Colleen had excused absences.
ALSO PRESENT: Planner Harrington,
Recording Secretary Asleson, and
Councilmember Rickaby.

Planner Harrington reviewed Planning 5. Consideration
Case No. 364-93 , a request for a of Resolution
Conditional Use Permit to allow the No. 360-93 ,
applicant to build an addition to his Regarding

Planner Harrington explained that this
is included in the resolution as a
safeguard against an oversized garage
being used as a place of business.
It was noted for the minutes that the
applicant, Gerald Setterholm, was not
present.
Motion/Second: Miller/Peterson to.
approve Resolution No. 360-93,
recommending approval of a Conditional
Use Permit for an oversized garage at
7312 Park View Drive.

Planner Harrington explained that he had 6. Consideration

Attendance at the May 19, 1993 Agenda 8 . Reports of
Session included Commissioners Peterson, Chair and
Nelson, Miller, Stevenson, Colleen, Commissioners
Ruggles, Chair Mountin, and
Councilmember Rickaby. Commissioner
Stevenson had an excused absence.

Chair Mountin noted that the Amoco on
Silver Lake Road had been playing music
on its loudspeaker and that there were
rental vehicles being stored at Bumper
to Bumper. Commissioner Miller
questioned the vehicle parked at the
Birchwood Realty office parking lot.
Commissioner Peterson reported that the
Golf Course Task Force would be meeting
on June 17, 1993 . The results of a
market research survey are to be
presented at the meeting. All Planning
Commissioners were invited to attend.
There being no further business before 9. Adjournment
the Commission, Chair Mountin adjourned
the meeting at 7:41 p.m.

CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A CONDITIONAL
USE PERMIT TO ALLOW AN OVERSIZED GARAGE FOR GERALD SETTERHOLM
7312 PARK VIEW DRIVE, PLANNING CASE NO. 364-93
WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission has
reviewed the request of Gerald Setterholm for an oversized
accessory building(garage) ; and
WHEREAS, the Mounds View Zoning Ordinance allows, by
conditional use permit, up to 1,264 square feet of accessory
building(garage) square footage on one lot; and
WHEREAS, the proposed total garage/accessory building
square footage on the lot is 1, 008 square feet which is below the
maximum allowed; and
WHEREAS, the proposed building meets all applicable
• setback requirements.
• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View
Planning Commission recommends to the City Council approval of
the requested conditional use permit for an oversized accessory
building by Gerald Setterholm, 7312 Park View Drive, contingent
upon the following:
a) The conditional use permit be recorded with Ramsey
County.
b) The building be designed and maintained to provide a
uniform appearance with the dwelling unit.
c) Should the use change for what the permit was granted
for, the permit will become null and void.
d) That no additional accessory buildings shall be allowed
on the property per Chapter 40. 10 Subdivision D 6 (c) of
the Mounds View Municipal Code.

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Planning Commission
- directs Staff to forward this resolution to the City Council
prior to approval of the minutes.
