RESOLUTION NO. 46-82
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING DENIAL OF REZONING AND
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT REQUEST FOR 2865 HIGHWAY 10
WHEREAS, the property known as 2865 Highway 10 is
presently zoned R-1 (single family); and
WHEREAS, the applicant, Gregory A. Johnson, has requested
a rezoning for a minor auto repair use requiring a B-3 designa-
tion and conditional use permit approval; and
WHEREAS, the subject property is located in District 6 of
the Mounds View Land Use Map found in the Comprehensive Plan
Update (copy attached) and;
WHEREAS, the predominate use within District 6 directs
the development and redevelopment of property along Highway 10
to be medium density residential to protect and buffer the
existing single family dwellings; and
WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission and City
Council in 1981 recommended denial and denied, respectively, a
rezoning request from R-1 to B-1 for a parcel directly adjacent
to the subject parcel 2865 Highway 10; and
WHEREAS, it is the Planning Commission's duty to be
consistant and to carry out the comprehensive planned direction
of the City's Plan Udate;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning
Commission recommends to the City Council denial of the rezoning
(R-1 to B-3) and conditional use permit request for a minor auto
repair for 2865 Highway 10.
