HomeMy WebLinkAboutPlanning Commission Resolution 86-83MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 86-83 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW • COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL FOR RODNEY DAMM, PLANNING CASE 137-83 WHEREAS, Mr. Rodney Damm has applied to the City for approval to construct two duplex dwellings upon Lots 7 and 8, Block 1, Park View Terrace; and WHEREAS, per Chapter 59.07, Subdivision 2, the development of two duplex structures requires review by the Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed this proposed development for conformity to Mounds View Code; and WHEREAS, based upon proposed zero lot line standards, since the two properties have substandard lot frontages for R-2 developments, this will preclude these properties from dividing using the zero lot line concept as proposed for Chapter 40 of the Zoning Code; and WHEREAS, since the proposed use for these two non -conforming, properly zoned lots meet all other requirements with the exception of •frontage, the structure proposed for these lots can be placed upon the lots and remain in conformance with Mounds View Code requirements; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer is in the process of reviewing this proposal for conformity to Ordinance No. 49A; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning Commission recommends to the City Council approval of the request by Rodney Damm to construct a duplex upon both Lots 7 and 8, Block 2, Park View Terrace, as shown on Certificates of Survey dated May 12, 1983; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Commission recommends that the approval of the development should be contingent upon both Rice Creek Watershed District and the City Engineer approving the drainage plan; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Commission directs staff to forward this recommendation.to the City Council prior to approval of the minutes.
