1. Update on Medtronic CRDM Corporate Campus
• General Sheet Metal paid the City $34,426.00 for mechanical permit
for HVAC systems for the North Building on 6/27/06. Gilbert
Mechanical paid the City $9,095.00 for mechanical permit on the
Central Building on 8/4/06.
• • Medtronic paid the City $131,061.13 for final reimbursement of
administrative expenses for Phase 2 of the project on 7/27/06.
• Topping out (last steel beam of eighth floor) of the North Building
occurred on July 10, 2006.
B. Reports of Staff(Continued)
• • Topping out of the Central Building is slated to occur during the week
of August 21, 2006.
• M.V. City Council approved on July 10, 2006 an Interim Use Permit
(IUP) for a billboard at 5201 Program Ave. (near 35W) to replace one
of the billboards removed from the Medtronic site.
• M.V. City Council approved on July 24, 2006 an IUP for a billboard at
2200 County Road 10 (Mermaid site) to replace one of the billboards
removed from the Medtronic site. (Council did not a approve a sign
height of 45 feet.)
• Dave Perkins Contracting began site work this week on the utility
extension project.
• The valuation of building permits issued or applied for to date for the
Medtronic campus total nearly $143,000,000.
