CALL MEETING TO ORDER 2. ROLL CALL: Sonterre, Stigney, Quick and Marty. NOT PRESENT: Thomas. 3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Stigney. To Approve the Agenda for March 11, 2002 as presented. Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 4. APPROVAL OF EDA MINUTES A. Approve Minutes of February 25, 2002. MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Marty. To Approve the February 25, 2002 Minutes of the EDA as Amended. Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 5. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS None. 6. REPORTS City Attorney Riggs updated the Authority on the matter with the Mermaid Cabbot property indicating he had received calls from out east and was informed that all of the documents are in the hands of the appropriate parties to be forwarded to Minnesota with the hope that a closing would occur this week. Mounds View EDA March 11, 2002 Regular Meeting Page 2 7. CONSENT AGENDA A. Resolution 02-EDA-12, Approving an Appointment to the Economic Development Commission. Economic Development Coordinator Backman handed out a seating arrangement for the EDC that noted the three business and four resident seats. Economic Development Coordinator Backman indicated Staff was attempting to confirm the terms of the Commissioners. He then indicated the Resolution deals with the renewal for Tom Field. President Sonterre asked if the Mayor should have brought this forward rather than Staff. City Administrator Miller indicated that typically the Mayor would present the appointment but noted the policy was just adopted this evening. City Administrator Miller asked if a new application had been received. Economic Development Coordinator Backman indicated a new application was given to Ms. Reed. MOTION/SECOND: Sonterre/Marty. To Approve Consent Agenda Item 7A as Presented. Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 8. EDA BUSINESS None. 9. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS None. 10. ADJOURNMENT President Sonterre adjourned the meeting at 11:52 p.m. 11.
