1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER
2. ROLL CALL: President Flaherty, Commissioner Meehlhause, Commissioner Hull,
Commissioner Mueller, Commissioner Gunn, and Executive Director Ericson.
NOT PRESENT: None.
3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Approve the January 14, 2013, Agenda as presented.
Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried.
4. PUBLIC INPUT
None.
5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A. October 12, 2012, EDA Minutes.
MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Gunn. To Approve the October 12, 2012, Minutes as presented.
Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Abstain – 1 (Meehlhause) Motion carried.
6. CONSENT AGENDA
None.
7. EDA BUSINESS
A. Resolution 13-EDA-273, Electing and Appointing Officers for 2013 to the
Mounds View Economic Development Authority (EDA).

Economic Development Specialist Steinmetz requested the EDA select a President, Vice
President, Secretary and Treasurer for 2013.
President Flaherty noted he was willing to serve as the President again in 2013.
Commissioner Gunn volunteered to serve as the Vice-President of the EDA.
Commissioner Mueller asked to serve as the Treasurer for 2013.
Commissioner Meehlhause indicated he could serve as the Secretary.
MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 13-EDA-273,
Electing and Appointing Officers for 2013 to the Mounds View Economic Development
Authority (EDA).
Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried.
B. Resolution 13-EDA-274, Appointment Members to the Economic
Development Commission (EDC).
Economic Development Specialist Steinmetz indicated the EDC currently had three open seats.
She requested the EDA appoint Jim Freichels, Jason Helgemoe and Gary Stevenson to serve on
this Commission. She noted the appointments would begin January of 2013 and run through
December 31, 2015.
President Flaherty thanked Torri Johnson for her years of service to the City on the EDC.
Jim Freichels, owner of DelComm, introduced himself to the EDA explaining he was interested
in serving on the Mounds View EDC. He appreciated Mounds View’s approach by allowing
local business owners to have a voice on this Commission.
President Flaherty stated it was important for the City to reach out to the local business owners in
the community and he was excited to see Mr. Freichels willing to serve on the EDC.
Commissioner Meehlhause commended Torri Johnson for her years of service on the EDC and
wished her the very best. He then thanked Jim Freichels, Gary Stevenson and Jason Helgemoe
for their willingness to serve the community.
MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 13-
EDA-274, Appointment Members to the Economic Development Commission (EDC).
Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried.
