1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER
2. ROLL CALL: President Mueller, Vice President Gunn, Commissioner Hull,
Commissioner Meehlhause, and Executive Director Ericson.
NOT PRESENT: None.
3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Hull. To Approve the February 13, 2017, Agenda as presented.
Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried.
4. PUBLIC INPUT
None.
5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A. January 23, 2017, EDA Minutes.
Commissioner Meehlhause requested a change to the minutes on Page 2, Line 7 noting “to”
should be “two”.
Commissioner Meehlhause requested a change to the minutes on Page 2, Line 18 stating the
Commission encouraged Jason not to step down.
Commissioner Meehlhause requested a change to the minutes on Page 2, Line 19 stating this line
should read: “He provided further comment on the discussion regarding the qualifications of the
two potential candidates.”
MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Hull. To Approve the January 23, 2017, Minutes as
amended.

6. CONSENT AGENDA
None.
7. EDA BUSINESS
A. Resolution 17-EDA-298, Appointing Two Members to the Economic
Development Commission (EDC)
Executive Director Ericson requested the Authority appoint two members to the Economic
Development Commission (EDC). He explained the EDC was comprised of seven members and
currently has two vacant seats. Staff recommended the EDA appoint Theresa Muckala, employed
by Medtronic, and Dennis Farmer, employed by the Metropolitan Council. Mr. Farmer would
assume the term that expires December 31, 2017 and Ms. Muckala would have a term that expires on
December 31, 2019.
President Mueller requested Commissioner Shoop be honored for her service to the City of
Mounds View on the EDC. Executive Director Ericson explained the Council would be
recognizing Ms. Shoop at an upcoming City Council meeting and a Resolution of Appreciation
would be approved by the EDA on February 27th.
MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 17-
EDA-298, Appointing Two Members to the Economic Development Commission (EDC).
Vice President Gunn believed Mr. Farmer and Ms. Muckala would be great additions to the
EDC.
Commissioner Meehlhause thanked Commissioner Shoop for stepping aside in order for these
two individuals to serve on the EDC.
President Mueller agreed and thanked Commissioner Shoop for her dedicated service to the City
of Mounds View on the EDC.
Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried.
8. REPORTS

President Mueller adjourned the meeting at 6:39 p.m.
