A. Consider Acceptance of a Proposal to Purchase and Renovate the EDA-
owned Property Located at 2091 Hillview Road.
Community Development Director Ericson indicated that a Request for Proposals has been sent
out and Staff is recommending that the proposal from GR Danielson and Sons be approved. He
then indicated that if the contract is not approved Staff is seeking authorization to go with the
next highest offer.
MOTION/SECOND: Thomas/Marty. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 01-EDA-
154, a Resolution Authorizing Acceptance of a Proposal to Purchase and Renovate the EDA-
owned Property Located at 2091 Hillview Road.
Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried.

Resolution 02-EDA-155 Authorizing the Sale of 2091
Hillview Road, property presently owned by the EDA,
to G.R. Danielson & Son

Date of Report: January 2, 2002
Background:
The EDA acquired the property located at 2091 Hillview Road from the Department of
Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on September 4, 2001. The property is
improved with a four-unit multiple-family dwelling. Staff prepared and distributed an RFP
for the purchase and redevelopment of the four-plex. The targeted audience of the RFP
was experienced residential renovation specialists. The deadline to return the proposals
was December 5, 2001, at which time staff had received 10 proposals.
Discussion:
At the EDA meeting on December 10, the Authority accepted the proposal from G.R.
Danielson and Son, company and set the public hearing to effectuate the sale of property
in accordance with Minnesota Statutes.
Recommendation:
Hold the public hearing and consider the resolution authorizing the sale of EDA-owned
property located at 2091 Hillview To G.R. Danielson & Son and authorizing its President
and Executive Director to execute a Purchase and Redevelopment Contract with G.R.
Danielson which articulates the conditions and requirements of this sale.

Background
Based on the Economic Development Authority’s practice of conducting an EDA meeting
following each regularly scheduled Council meeting (the second and fourth Mondays of
each month), Resolution 02-EDA-156 and Exhibit A establishes the EDA meeting dates for
2002.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends the EDA approve Resolution 02-EDA-156 Establishing The Official City
of Mounds View Economic Development Authority Calendar for 2002.

RESOLUTION NO. 02-EDA-156
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION SETTING 2002 MEETING DATES FOR EDA MEETINGS
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Authority may meet twice monthly
following each regularly scheduled City Council meeting, and;
WHEREAS, the dates shown on attached Exhibit A have been proposed as Regular
City Council meetings in 2002.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Economic Development Authority
does hereby set its 2002 meeting calendar as shown in Exhibit A.
