City of Mounds View Staff Report
To: Honorable Mayor and City Council
From: Greg Lee, Director of Public Works
Item Title/Subject: City Hall Rehabilitation Project
This special work session item will involve a walk through of the interior and
exterior of City Hall. Nancy Schultz of SEH will be guiding Council and Staff
through City Hall, pointing out and discussing points of interest.
Also in attendance will be Tim Pittman and Jim Hess to answer any questions
pertaining to current issues and maintenance strategies.
It is requested that the City Council read and review the “City Hall Facility Study”
that was distributed via Council’s “IN” boxes several weeks ago. Staff and the
City Consultant will be ready to answer any questions the Council may have.
Staff is looking for direction from the City Council as to where they want to go
with this project.

City of Mounds View Staff Memo
To: Honorable Mayor and City Council

Item Title/Subject: Employee Appreciation Lunch on Wednesday,
June 9, 2004 (Rain Date: June 10, 2004)
Staff has scheduled an Employee Appreciation BBQ Lunch for Wednesday, June
9, 2004, located at the Big Pavilion behind City Hall, from 11am to 130pm (flyer
attached). The Employee Appreciation Breakfast was such a great success last
year, and with the warmer weather coming, Staff decided on an Employee
Appreciation BBQ this year. Department Heads are scheduled to prepare the
meal, and Staff would like the City Council to participate, if possible (like last year).
As stated in Resolution 5617, the City will be providing employee gift certificates in
the amount of $5 per year of service at five-year increments. Currently there are 8
city employees that fall under this criteria. There will be a staff report and
resolution for your consideration on the May 24th City Council Meeting. Both the
Employee Lunch and Gift Certificates are currently budgeted for 2004 (100-4100-
1600).
Please let me know if you are able to stop by, or even participate in the Employee
Appreciation BBQ. If you have any questions, then please do not hesitate to
