CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A GPS DEVICE
WHEREAS, the City Council directed Staff to research asset management software
for Public Works to manage publicly owned infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, the City Council included this directive in the probation requirements for
Public Works Director Don Peterson and Administrator Nyle Zikmund; and
WHEREAS, Staff provided information and a recommendation at the July 2, 2018
Work Session; and
WHEREAS, the Council was supportive of the technology and recommendation; and
WHEREAS, Staff contacted two vendors to provide proposals:
1) FONDRIEST Environmental $6,995.00
2) TreeBiz LLC $7,025.00
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1) Approves the purchase of (1) Arrow 200 1-1/1-2 GNSS receiver from
FONDRIEST Environmental for a total of $6,995.00
2) To be funded from the 2018 Adopted budget from the following accounts;
Forestry (100-4380-1200) $1,399.00, Street Sign Maintenance (100-4475-
1600) $1,399.00, Water Department (700-4823-1600) $1,399.00, Sanitary
Sewer (730-4823-1600) $1,399.00, Storm Water (745-4415-1600) $1,399.00.
3) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to
execute all appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by
this resolution.
4) The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby
authorized and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions
necessary or convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
