CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
ADOPTING A MODIFICATION TO SECTIONS 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, AND 2.5.5 OF THE
CITY'S PURCHASING POLICY
WHEREAS, the City desires to maintain a purchasing policy that is up-to-date with
Minnesota State Statutes, administratively efficient, and cost effective; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota statute 471.345 was amended by the legislature to
increase the threshold for sealed bid requirements from $100,000 to $175,000; and
WHEREAS, the policy in sections 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, and 2.5.5 on uniform municipal
contracting would need to be modified to reflect this amendment in addition to increases
in the threshold for small purchases; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the proposed changes and wishes to
include the modifications in the City's purchasing policy.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds
View that the City's purchasing policy, sections 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, and 2.5.5 are amended as
indicated in the attached policy.
