1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order by Chair Klebsch at 7:00 p.m. for April 4, 2018.

2. Roll Call
Members Present: Commissioners Farmer, French, Klebsch, Monn, Rundle, and Stevenson.
Absent and Excused: Commissioner Klander (excused).
Also Present: City Planner/Supervisor Jon Sevald and Council Member Bill Bergeron.

A. Resolution 1084-18, Recommending Approval of a One-Year Extension of a
Conditional Use Permit for a Multi-Family Dwelling, for MWF Properties,
LLC
City Planner/Supervisor Sevald stated MWF Properties received a Conditional Use Permit
(CUP) on May 8, 2017, for a Multiple-Family Dwelling to be located at the northwest corner of
Mounds View Blvd and Groveland Road. CUP’s become invalid after one year, if construction is
not complete. MWF Properties is actively pursuing approval of a subdivision, required prior to
beginning construction. An extension of the CUP is necessary to comply with conditions of the
CUP. Staff recommended the Planning Commission approve the one-year extension of the CUP
as requested.
MOTION/SECOND: Commissioner Rundle/Commissioner Stevenson. To approve Resolution
1084-18, a Resolution Recommending Approval of a One-Year Extension of a Conditional Use
Permit for a Multiple-Family Dwelling.
Ayes – 5 Nays – 1 (Klebsch) Motion carried.

A. Upcoming Planning Cases & Activity
City Planner/Supervisor Sevald discussed upcoming planning cases.
B. Staff Updates
City Planner/Supervisor Sevald provided the Commission with an update on Crossroad Pointe.
He reported the shooting range will not happen in Mounds View. He reported the City would be
holding a Town Hall meeting on Monday, April 30th at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.
C. Council Updates
Council Member Bergeron provided the Planning Commission with an update from the City
Council. He noted the Council Introduced the Off-Sale Liquor and Front Porch Setback
Ordinance at their recent meeting. In addition, the City Council approved the installation of
splash pad equipment at City Hall Park. He commented on the proposed changes that would
occur at the YMCA. He discussed the redevelopment plans for the Skyline Motel.

D. Planning Commissioner Reports
None.
8. Approval of Minutes
March 7, 2018.
MOTION/SECOND: Commissioner Farmer/Commissioner French. To approve the Minutes of
the March 7, 2018 regular Planning Commission meetings as slightly amended.
Ayes – 6 Nays – 0 Motion carried.

A. Wednesday, April 18, 2018
B. Wednesday, May 2, 2018

There being no further business before the Planning Commission, Chair Klebsch adjourned the
meeting at 7:14 p.m.
