£FESENT: Barka, Burggroff, Foss, Glazer, ileoksben, Burmeister, Blanchard,
Shelquist. Also present Roger Baumgartner and Welly Vibe.
ABSENT: Houle.
MINUTES: The minutes of the lost meeting, ware reed and approved.
BUSINESS: Smith Rrsnsfer Trucking Corp. Special nes permit.
M p Mr. Lee Liljgren representing Smith Transfer Trucking Corp, appeared
Aap eetaeaw,before the planning commisnicn regarding, a special use permit for
a trunk terminal.
There has been contact with the P.O.A in order to seek recommendation
or answer any questions P.C.A. may have.
Mr. Liljgren indicated there is a gap of 200 ft. between the lot line
and where the present storm sewer ends. Because of this, Smith
Transfer intends to petition the Council to have this 200 ft. of
storm sewer put in.
Land donation, the Smith Transfer epok -.amen indlosted they wanted
to wait until the lend is 'sold, to decide on how such land tc donate,
since this may affect the sale.
There hes been contact with Mr. J. Tobermsn of the Towns Edge Mobile
mark, concerning the buffer to be used between the two parcels of
land. It was augge::ted by Mr. 'L'obermnn, that Smith Transfer contact
Mr. Memens of the 'Town Edge Mobil Home Park, to work on the type, of
buffer the residents of the mobile-hone perk wculd like to see put up.
A meeting is planned within the next weak between Smith Transfer and
Mr. Remains.
Concern wee expressed :bout washing the trucks and the soap discharge
and if there would be drrinege 'r.to the storm sewer, and would e
permit from P.C.A. be needed. Mr. tiljgren Meted that he `tv.d
,inquired this and :1r. Kunoe of the P.O.A. indicated a permit
WS s not need.dl, since ti trucks wilt ba washed dneide and the
drainage will go into the reguisr sewer, not the storm sewer.
Fencing willyRw,y. Dept. recommendation of 8 ft. with three (3)
:strands or barb wire. Mr. Liljgren stewed they would like to include
in the agreement with the village the eszan wording es in Article VI
of the Century Motor Freight Agreement, but with the wording in the
first sentence to read: The provision for drainage must be approved
by the Village Engineer and Rios Creek Wstersned District.
Question arose about gas storage tanks, Mr. Liljgren indicated there
would be no gas storage tanks, out two (2), 10,000 gal. underground
diesel fuel tanks.
Smith Transfer proposed a 20 rt. wide strap on the bock Tenon line
to be used for berm or other buffer. The village ordinance requires
a tau ft. wide strip. Mr. Liljgren agreed to this but wanted these
requirements put into the agreement with the village.
MS1' (Glszsr /Blanchard) to recommend approval of the special permit
but subject to endorsement by the Rice Creek 'Watershed and the P.C.A.

Auditors Subdivision 11 89 Ex the 8. 276 ft.
Divide into 3 lots.
Mr. Vernon Sindereon appeared with a request to oraatn3 lots on
the above described parcel of land,
question of the substandard width of one of the lots (only 81 ft.)
The existing home whioh is next to the substandard lot is 16 ft.
from the line, which would allow 4 ft. to be taken and bring the
substandard lot up to conform with the ordieno. of 85 ft. width.
Mr. Sindersor.. stubs(' that there is o sloped terrace noxt to the
existing house, dropping towards the new lot. The suggested lot
lino was deoided on because it seamed to be the right brook oft
point from the slope, and would not crest.. a "crowded" look to the
existing house.
Mr. Sindereon was swore of the 30 ft. assonant and had indicated
this on his sketch plan.
MSP( Shelquist /Foes) to recommend to the Counoil that the lot
division be granted as shown on sketch plan dated Aug. 22, 1973.

Lot 45 Spring Lake Pork Knolls Addition
Divide into 2 lots
Mr. Sens Sohouweiler appeared requesting a lot division.. He wst
aware of tho 30 ft. easrmant and hod indicated this on hie sketch
plan.
MSP( Blenohard /8hsl.quist) to recommend to the Council to approve
the mimor subdivision es presented by Mr. Schouweiler.

Spring Lake Pork Knolls Addition
Lot #82 end 81 except the S. 38 ft.
Subdivide into 2 lots.
Mr. Donovan Windt appeared requesting a lot division, creating o
100 ft.x195ft. lot, toeing Bronson Dr.
'there Is s problem of the 30 ft. n.eament, Since the existing house,
west of the proposed lot, is very close to the lot line, there is
not enough .find for a road easement in the plan presented by Mr. Wendt.
It woe indicated by Mr. Wendt that if he had to give another 30 ft. of
his lend, h., would ruin his beck yard and a heavy planting of trees.

Discussion arose se to the future end if there would actually be
s road thru this arse. If the easement is not taken, then all the
very deep lots in thin paroel of Sind, which oould possibly be
divided in the future, would be lend looked.
M3P(0laser /Burggraff) to recommend to the Council approval of the
plan as presented by Donovan Wendt.
MSP(Sh•lquist /Heake) to move that the motion be tabled until the
next meeting, and that Dennis investigate the location of homes on
the lots effected to see if this location will allow division of
the lots.

Discussion on lend next to the Well house on 0roveland. Mr. Roger
Baumgartner advised the Commission that Mr. Dahlggren of Midwest
Planning will be sending a latter to the Commission concerning this
subject.
Nominations were hold for the office of Vice Chairman and Secretary
on this Commission for a ono (1) year duration. Voting was done by
worst ballot on each position. Results: Vice Chairman, Robert
Shelquist; Secretary, Nanoy Burmeister.
