The Mounds View Planning Cammiseion wae called
to order by Chairpereon Mountin at 7;39 PM on
Novembe_- 4, 1981.
MEMBEKS PRESENT: Commiaeionere McCarthy,
arren, er, Linke and Sreske (arrived at
7:40 PM), and Chairperenn Mountin.
It was n~ted that Commissioner Andereon and
Councilmember Forelund were abaent.
ALSO PRESENT: Building and Zoning Official
o~ee.
~a3rpereou Mountin welcomed Jerry Linke to
e Planning Co~ission.
Commiseioner Breake agraed to represent the
Planning Commisaion et the November 9, 1981
City Council meeting.
Motion Seco~.d: Warren/Miller ta approve the

Commisaioner Linke abatained from the vota as
he had not been preeent at the October 7 meeting.
There were no reaidents requeste or commente
irom the floor,
Chairpereott Moun'rin explained that the apixit
and intent of the code had been diecuesed at
the last work aesaion, regarding the applicant'e
request, and no hardahip had been found. It wae
~. e conceneus of the Planning Commieaion that
e requKS~ for u vsriance ahould be denied, and
a£f waa directed to prepare a reooluti~n to
thah effect.

FOR 6928 PLER5ANT VIEW DRIVE
WHERGAS, a representative for 6928 Pleasant View Dri~~e has
requeated a vari~rnce from the rec~uired sideyard ~etback of a drive-
wayJ xnd
WHEREAS, the repr.esentative renuests approval of a new
exiating driveway surxace to be located between 1.S feet to .9 fePt
from the property line whi.le a minimum of 5 feet is reyuired by
City Codet and
Fr[iEREAS, there exists e norr-conforming garage 1.5 feet off
tha property lihe while 5 feet is requiredj and
WNEREAS, the Planning Commiasion finds that the hardship
presented does not. mept Code requirements fpz relieft and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the owhei• of the
property does have the right to acness his existing garayej
N047, THEItEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that tha Moanda View Planning
Commission approves the installation of a driveway from the qaraqe,
1.5 feet off the south ~roperty line, at 6928 Pleasant View Drive for
a distance of 22 feet at whlch I.or,atiun the Qrivewa,y shall cvrve to e
5 feet ~etback wa.thin 42 feet from the garage;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning Commission
requires the removal of the non-conforminp Portion of tha dr.iveway
immediately and further note that a 2 f.~ot radius may'be nsed on the
dziveway end at the atreet.

ESTABLISNING MEETSNG AND TIMBLINE SUBMISSION DATES FOR 1982
WHERFAS, tha Mounda View Planning Commisaion will be holding
one reqular maetinq per mont:h durinq 1992~ and
WNEREAS, the Planning Commiasion has requasted to roview regu-
lar meeting agendn itema at their agonda session, two weeks prior. to
the reqular meeting~ and
WHEREAS, Staff needs ampl.e time to pr.epare reports for the
Planning Comrnission's reviews and
WHEREAS, developers, citizens ur other interested paxtiec sltould
be advised of deadlines far materials used by Staff to prepare a report
and uaed by the Planninq Commissioners to decide on a particular cleve-
lopment iasuet and
WHEREAS, that a display ot meeting datee~ and submisaion deadline
dates be established to provida at~ orderly system for use by the Plan-
ning Commissioh, Staff and the general public;
~ NOW, TH£REFORE, 9E IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commiasion of

requi.refl to or desirea to hold special meetings, they will do so in
accordance with State law, Code requirements and bylawct.
