Mr. Tunell atated they would like to go ahead with
26 epaces, and if it ia felt the additional 14 spaces
are required once the project is completa, they could
add them then. He also explained the budget difficul-
tiea they have been having with the pro~ect, and the
papes•work and xed tape involved in getting HUD to
finance the aaditional parking apacee.
It was ttie cuncanaus oE the Planning ,^.ommiesion
that 40 parking spacas ehould be required, one per
unit, and it should be eent to HUD that way, with
the Planning Commiseion being w.Llling to meet with
whoever was neceasary to get the parking eituat~.on

Technician Kampel asked for direction on a phone call
he received frcm a citizen, aeking the liability or
reaponsibi.lity of a tree ehat wae planted one foot from
the property line. It wae tha concensus of the Co~iseion
~hat whatever encrouahed onto the neighbor's property
would then beoome the property of the nefghbor.

' Technician Kampel reported the Silvervtew plat was being

Susan Gale, 8227 Gruveland Road, asked the Plannin~
Commieaion if they could give hez any direction or re-
co~endation rege.rding her pro~erty which was currently
involved in vacation proceedings. She explained ahe
would like to r~ubdivide her lot but had found out it
would coet approximately $25,OJ0 to put a cul-de-aac in
to service her lot and the one next to it. She stated
she did not care to apend that much money and asked how
e].se ahe could service her praperty.
The I.'lanning Ca~iAaion spent a great deal of time with
Atre, rale but came tu the conclueion that a cul-d~-sac
whe the only v3able method of eervicing her property,
Co~nissioner Miller was excused at 1U:01 PM.
It wae the conceueus o€ the Planning Co~iseion that
they would recommend retaining the easements on the
proper.ty for furthar developmant and acceee to Ardan
Avenue for bike and foo*, trnffic to the park.
Cheirman Mountin stated ehe would attend the next
' Council meeting in liau of Councilmember Forelund's

closo Cdgewood Junior uigh School at the end of the 1981-1982
achool yeart and
WIIERLAS, the Cchool Distriot intends to preserve the
building for future educational uset and

WHEREAS, s community reaource center is in operation~itt the
City of New Brighton~ and ~
WHER6AS~ the School pistrict viishes to mairitain and expand
its present activitie3 which now exist at the New arightoh faaility,
