Diractor Thatcher explained the proposed rezoning ie for the Haretad property, from R-1 to R-3, ancl it will be before the Council on July 9. Ae added that the wetland area ia on the eaetezn portion of the property. MR. Mr. Seeman stated he hae the same problem, with water standing in his back yard, and he has had water in hte hack yar.d for the past three weeks, He added that the natural drainage has oeen filled in. He added he does not see the value of putting anything buh single Pamily homes in that ar.ea. Commiesioner Foralund questianned whethsr there is a, drainage easemenh in the back yarda. Mr. Miller repl3ed there is none in the back yarde, ~uet tha front yarde. Mr, Spxvnek stated ha hea lived in his home s3nce 1977, and hae had'a water problem eaeh year, so it is not ~uer, a xecent problem. Mike Barner, 2609 Clearview, sCated that he has lived in hie home since 1976, and has heard about pcssible rezoninga three times, and questioned why the City coneiders it, as the residents do not want it to chan~e. Comniasioner Lauterbach atated Chat in reading the Camp Plan, he feele the area should be left R-1, Commiasionar Quick adviead the residenCa that as iong ae Che property remains vacant, they will have to keep aware of what is going on. Mr. Sp.runck stated that County Road H2 ia higher than Louisa, nnd that enything that would be built on Counky Road H2 wnuld netnrally drain more toward Louiea Avenue. Commisaioner Sargent asked Che reaidents what the major cona~rn was, the rezoning or the water eitustion'. The residente present indicated their firat concern was with the zoning remaining R-1.
