He reviewed the memo from the building inepector, dated July 2S, 1984, and hie recommen- datlone that it meet the maximum square footage requirement of 216 sf, and look ar.chitectually the atune ae the principel building, and that it iacor- porate the garbage faciiities. Director Thatcher advised that if the Planning ~~x` Commiseion was going to bce revising ~rhe code, they ,~ should also coneider allow4ng day care centera in R-1 dietri~ta, in churches. She also reviewed the options available to the Planning Commiseion. They also reca~ended looking at the request as a conditional use permit requeet, which vtAUld necessitate public hearinge. Director Thatchez briefed the Cowmisaionora on a one day seminar from the Goverament Training Service and took the names of thuaP intereated in attending. Director Thatcher informed the Commisaionere he had checked khe code, in reference to tt;eir earlier question of where it etatee that depoeite can be required of developers, and found it in 40.28 and 59.07. He also advieed the statua af earlier convereations with the Cauncil reEarding a parking ban, and recommended it be placed on the agenda again £or discuosion and to resolve the iasue.
