The Mounde Viaw Planning Commiesion wae called to
ordar by Chairman Mnuntin at 7t32 PM on May I,
1985.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Commiseioeere ZolJ.ner, Vlarren,
n ezoon, ore und and Chairman Mountin.
It was noted that C~mmisaioner ;towley was absent
on vacation and Coamrisaioner Miller was expected
shortly.
ALSO PRESENT: Public Wox:ke/Conauunity Development
rector atcher and Councilmember Blanchard.

PaCrick En$reeser~, 8385 Greenwood Drive, explained
he wouid like to buil'd an addition to his garage,
to make it 3 eCalls, but he would be 72 s.E: over
the li.mit in the code, becauee hie garage is an
extra 2 feet deep over atandard aizes. He stated
he was experiencing n atorage problem,
Chairmun Mountin advised that Mr. Engreesen could
apply for a variance, which :'equirea a$50 fea,
and he would be requ3red to prenent hia plen to
the Oity, and would be place3 on the agenda fox
the Planaing Cot~isaion. She explained the
Planning Commisaion cannot consider cost, personal
preference, appearanca or other euch thinge in
looking at a requeaCed variance.

Chairman Mountin advised Mr. Kelly to,make hie application
at City Hall, and he could be placed on thF agenda in
two weeka time, and if tho peperwork is in order, they

June. She added that City Staff wi11 provida Mr.

Director ThaLCher briezly reviewed the plun for Che 5, Crose of Glory
proposed addition to tha church. He explained
had reviewed it at the laet agenda seseion; and theq

Commissioaer Warren stated ahe has a prob~.em wi.th

Mr. Lester Steichen, repxesentative of the Uuildinq
co~iCtee oE the church, explained they have hed
problems wi.th vandalism in the past, which is why
they 'would like the lights to be on. He also stated
there is a problem with the MTC bue atop on the west
eide of the property, in that it ie quite worn down.
Director Thatcher replied they could add more gruvel
to the roadway. He also recommended the Planning
Coo~iesion require the garbage to be screened.

Cheirman Mountin stated that sand blastleg is
not a e-3 activity, but rather an I-1. „

Chaicman Mountin summarized that the iesuas are
that a rezoninq is needed, duo to tha aand

The Commlesioners stated they want to sea the
legal lat description, the prelimin~ry plat for
the major auSdivision and rec~ust Eor rezoning,
which tliey will ceview in two weeks. They ~1so ~
auggested asM.ing the Council to aet public
