MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION
RESOLUTION NO. 108-84
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RECOMMENDATION TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE REZONING OF
CERTAIN PROPERTIES LOCATED ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF SUNNYSIDE
ROAD BETWEEN WOODCREST DRIVE AND COUNTY ROAD H-2
WHEREAS, there exists along the west side of Sunnyside
Road, between Woodcrest Drive and County Road H-2, six double
bungelows; and
WHEREAS, these six double bungelows were built prior to
1960; and
WHEREAS, the City's zoning map shows that the properties
were, and plan to remain, R-l, single family; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has interpreted that the
intent of the Comprehensive Plan for low density can include one
and two family unit buildings; and
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive plan designation for this area
is low density; and
WHEREAS, the owners of the double bungelows and the
surrounding neighborhood have requested and agree, respectively,
that the property should be rezoned from R-l to R-2; and
WHEREAS, the rezoning from R-l to R-2 would make the
structures on the lot Code conforming;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View
Planning Commission recommends to the City Council that the
property described as Lots 1 through 8, Block 6, Twelve Oaks
Second Addition, be rezoned from R-l to R-2.
