MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION
RESOLUTION NO. l29-85
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RECOMMENDATION TO THE CITY COUNCIL REGARDING
PLANNING CASE 146-84, M. H. ANDERSON CONSTRUCTION,
MAJOR SUBDIVISION, SILVER LAKE WOODS, BLOCK 4, LOTS 1-8
(COUNTY ROAD H-2 AND SILVER LAKE ROAD)
WHEREAS, M. H. Anderson Construction has requested City
approval of a major subdivsion and rezoning; and
WHEREAS, Silver Lake Woods, Block 4, has 8 lots zoned R-2;
and
WHEREAS, the request is to subdivide the property into 14
lots zoned R-l; and
WHEREAS, the proposed R-l lots are narrower than the Zoning
Code requirements; and
WHEREAS, the Developer requests a variance based on density,
and the City has never granted a variance request based on density;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning
Commission recommends denial of the request by M. H. Anderson
Construction to subdivide the land as presented in the drawings
received by the City on January 30, 1985;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning
Commission does not object to rezoning the property to R-l;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a lot frontage variance based on
density is denied;
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning
Commission directs staff to forward this resolution to the City
Council prior to approval of the minutes.
