RESOLUTION NO. l58-85
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION REGARDING VARIANCE REQUEST BY RONALD O'CONNELL
(2296 TERRACE DRIVE), MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING CASE NO. 187-86
WHEREAS, Mr. O'Connell has applied for a variance to
construct an addition to his house closer to the property line
than the City Code allows; and
WHEREAS, this addition is proposed to be 14 feet from the
west property line; and
WHEREAS, this property (2296 Terrace Drive) lS a corner
lot; and
WHEREAS, the setback requirement is 30 feet; and
WHEREAS, the existing house has a 14 foot sideyard
setback; and
WHEREAS, the neighborhood is unique in that the
houses were constructed with 14 foot sideyard setbacks and
this setback will be a continuation of the character of the
neighborhood;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View
Planning Commission grants a l6 foot variance from the sideyard
setback requirement on the west property line at 2296 Terrace
Drive.
Adopted this 5th day of March, 1986.
