MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION
RESOLUTION NO. 238-88
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION DENYING VARIANCE REQUEST FOR PUBLIC STORAGE,
INC., LOT 1, BLOCK 9, AND A PORTION OF LOT 1, BLOCK 10,
SILVER LAKE WOODS, PLANNING CASE NO. 254-88
WHEREAS, Public Storage, Inc. has requested a variance
from the 5 acre minimum project size for a PUD; and
WHEREAS, Public Storage, Inc. has additionally requested
rezoning to a PUD, major subdivision of the properties, and
development review of their project proposal; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 40.26, Subd. D, of the Municipal Code
states the criteria which must be met for granting a variance;
and
WHEREAS, City Staff and Planning Commission have reviewed
the proposed development; and
WHEREAS, there are no existing extraordinary circumstances
as presented which apply to the property which do not apply to
other properties in the same zone; and
WHEREAS, the special conditions or circumstances result
from the actions of the applicant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View
Planning Commission denies the request by Public Storage, Inc.
for a variance from the minimum lot size in a PUD zone.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning
Commission denies the rezoning of the property to PUD, the
subdivision of the property, and rejects the development proposal
because of the above variance denial.
