STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF DEVELOPMENT STAGE
PLANS FOR SYSCO/CONTINENTAL MINNESOTA PLANNED UNIT
DEVELOPMENT, MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING CASE NO. 253-88
WHEREAS, Ryan Construct1on has submitted development stage
plans for the SYSCO/Cont1nental M1nnesota Planned Unit Develop-
ment (P.U.D.); and
WHEREAS, a development reV1ew was conducted by C1ty Staff
Wh1Ch resulted in the find1ngs that the plans are consistent with
the prev10usly approved general concept plans; and
WHEREAS, there are 1ssues left to be resolved before f1nal
approval; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommends that the
plant1ngs along the southwest edge of the slte be located on the
outs1de of the security fence, thereby, necess1tating plant1ngs
located on the MnDOT property; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Comm1SS1on recommends the add1t1on
of a skImmer to be located between the storm water ponds; and

WHEREAS, the Plann1ng Comm1ssion recommends the addit10n
of f1ve planting islands to be located w1th1n the presently
proposed parking lot; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Comm1SS1on recommends additional
landscaping be located w1thin the future parking expansion area
at the eastern edge of the site; and
WHEREAS, the Plann1ng Comm1ss1on encourages the restor a-
t10n of the northwest corner to as natural state as poss1ble; and
WHEREAS, the Plann1ng Comm1ss1on has reviewed the Develop-
ment Stage Plans and found them to be consistent wIth the
prev10usly approved General Concept Plans.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commis-
Slon of the City of Mounds View recommends approval of the
Development Stage Plans for the SYSCO/Minnesota P.U.D.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View Plann1ng
Comm1ssion d1rects Staff to forward this resolution to the City
Counc1l pr10r to approval of the m1nutes.
