RESOLUTON NO. 248-89
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING REAPPROVAL OF A CONDITIONAL USE
PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT A PUBLIC FACILITY IN AN R-l DISTRICT
FOR THE METROPOLITAN WAS'I'E CONTROL COMMISSION AT
2345 COUNTY ROAD H
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission, 2345
County Road H, has requested a condltional use permit to build a
storage building ln an R-l Distrlct; and
WHEREAS, the Mounds View Municlpal Code, Chapter 40.10,
Subdivlslon D(2), provlded that governmental and publlC utilIty
buildings and structures necessary for the health safety and
general welfare of the community are a condltlonal use; and
WHEREAS, the Plannlng Commlsslon has revlewed the proposal
and has found that the structure conforms to the setback and slde
yard requlrements of an R-l Dlstrlct and there is no outside
storage proposed and there lS adequate screenlng from neighboring
uses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds Vlew
Plannlng Commlsslon recommends approval of a condltional use
permlt to allow for the constructlon of a storage building by the
Metropolltan Waste Control Commisslon, 2345 County Road H,
legally known as; subject to road, the east 640 feet of south 190
feet of southeast 1/4 of southwest 1/4 of Sectlon 8, Township 30,
Range 23, contlngent upon the following:
1) Approval by the Rlce Creek Watershed Distrlct.
2) Trees and shrubs shall be malntalned.
3) Outslde storage will be prohiblted.
4) Regular maintenance of the bUllding facade and fencing
wlll be required.
5) The exterior of the bUllding shall be treated in earth
tones.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds Vlew Plannlng
Commlssion directs Staff to forward this resolution to the City
Council prior to approval of the mlnutes.
Adopted this 10th day of May, 1989.
