RESOLUTION NO. 272-89
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING DENIAL OF THE REZONING REQUEST
BY DONALD L. ANDERSON FOR PROPERTY HE OWNS AT
8280 LONG LAKE ROAD, PLANNING CASE NO. 272-89
WHEREAS, Mr. Donald L. Anderson has requested a rezoning
of property he owns at 8280 Long Lake Road, legally known as
Greenwood Terrace, Lot 1, Block 5, from R-l, Single Family
ResidentIal to R-2, Single and Two Family Residential; and
WHEREAS, the PlannIng CommiSSIon has ~aken into
conslderation Section 40.25 of the Zornng Ordinance WhlCh
includes the following:
a. RelatIonship to Municipal Comprehensive Plan.
b. The geographical area l.nvolved.
c. Whether such use wIll t.end to or actually depreciate
the area in which it IS proposed.
d. The character of the surrounding area.
e. The demonstrated need for such use.
WHEREAS, the PlannIng CommIssion has taken into
consideration Resolution No. 273-89, R-2 Zonlng Policy; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has determined that the
property l.S not considered to be on t.he periphery of the single
family neighborhood as outlined per Planning Commission
Resolution No. 273-89 (R-2 Zoning Policy).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the PlannIng
Commission of the City of Mounds View recommends to the Cl.ty
Council denial of the requested rezoning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning CommIssion
directs Staff to forward this resolution to the City Council
prIor to approval of the minutes.
