COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF M INNESOT A
RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN INCREASED BUILDING
HEIGHT FOR A PROPOSED OFFICE BUILDING AT 7664 GREENFIELD A VENUE;
PLANNING CASE NO. DEOO-002.
WHEREAS, the subject property is zoned B-3, Highway Business, is designated as a
"Neighborhood Commercial" use on the Comprehensive Plan and is legally described as follows:

Ramsey County, State (~fMinnesota
WHEREAS, on February 26,2001, the City Council approved Resolution 5527, a
resolution approving a development review to construct a 2,006 square-foot office building at 7664
Greenfield Avenue, as requested by the applicant, Tony Mezzenga; and,
WHEREAS, on March 12,2001, the City Council adopted Resolution 5536 which
amended Resolution 5527 with regard only to the fencing and screening requirements; and,
WHEREAS, the plans submitted to the Mounds View Building Official for permit review
were deemed to be inconsistent with the State Accessibility Code; and,
WHEREAS, in response to the inconsistency with the State Accessibility Code, the
applicant has requested that the approved site plan be amended to allow for a two story building
rather than the originally-proposed one-and-a-half split-entry building; and,
WHEREAS, all other requirements, conditions and stipulations addressed in Resolutions
5527 and 5536 shall remain in force.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View Planning Commission
recommends approval of the request to amend the approved plans to allow for a two story
building rather than the originally-proposed one-and-a-half story, split-entry building, subject to
the following conditions:
1. No windows shall be permitted on the upper story of the building's south elevation_
2, No bay, projected or articulated windows shall be allowed on the upper story of the
east elevation; the windows shall be recessed to whatever extent possible to minimize
the peripheral sightlines.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning Commission directs
Staff to forward this Resolution to the City Council prior to approval of the minutes.
