RESOLUTION NO. 667-01

COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A CITY CODE AMENDMENT TO
ALLO'V ANIMAL BOARDING AS A CONDITIONAL USE IN B-2, LIMITED BUSINESS
ZONING DISTRICTS.
WHEREAS, The City Code docs not currently allow animal boarding within the City of
Mounds Vicw; and,
WHEREAS, Thc Mounds View Animal Hospital has expressed their desirc to offer
animal boarding at their proposed new facility located at 2625 County Highway 10; and,
'VI-IEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the following documents regarding
this proposal:
a. Proposed Ordinance No. 685
b. Staff Rep0l1
WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission finds that the proposed amendment
satisfies thc conditions outlined in Chapter 1125 ofthc Zoning Codc; and,
WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission finds that the proposed amendment is
not in connict with the Mounds Vicw Comprehensive Plan; and,
\VHEREAS, thc Mounds View Planning Commission finds that animal boarding would not
dcpreciate neighborhoods nor ncgatively affect thc character of surrounding arcas within thc City of
Mounds View i [the stipulations rcquired as a conditional use arc implemented.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds Vicw Plam1ing Commission
recommends approval of an amendment to Scction 1] 13.04 Subdivision 4 and Section II 02.02 of
the City Code as depicted in proposed Ordinance 685.

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning Commission directs staff
to forward this resolution to thc City Council prior to approval of the minutcs.
