CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION RECOIVIMENDING APPROVAL OF THE ACQUISITION OF THE
PARCEL LOCATJ;:D AT 2525 COUNTY ROAD 10
WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission is required to reVIew proposed
acquisitions of real property within the City by the City; and,
\YHEREAS, the parcel located at 2525 County Road 10, improved with the "Gas for
Less" fuel station and convenience store, has recently become available; and,
\VHEREAS, the one acre parcel is located at the intersection of County Road 10 and Long
Lake Road and is zoned B-3, Highway Business Commercial; and,
WHEREAS, the City currently owns the land adjacent to 2525 County Road 10 and has
improved upon said adjacent land its City Hall, public works garage, water tower, water treatment
faci I ity, well and pump house; and,
WHEREAS, the adjacent City land covers approximately 15.5 acres
\YHEREAS, the proposed use of the subject property would be to facilitate the
redevelopment of this comer of the Long lake Road / County Road 10 intersection; and,
WHEREAS, the City has authorized preparation of an appraisal of the property which has
a market value of $606,900 according to the Ramsey County Assessor's Office; and,
\VI-IEREAS, this parcel of land is located within an area designated as "Highway
Convenience" according to the City's Comprehensive Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the anticipated reuse of this property would be consistent with the City's
Comprehensive Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of
Mounds View, finding the proposed reuse consistent with the Comprehensive Plan, hereby
recommends approval to the City Council of the City of Mounds View regarding the acquisition
of2525 County Road 10.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Planning Commission directs staff to forward
this resolution to the City Council prior to approval of the minut~s.
