CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPOINTMENTS TO THE CITY OF MOUNDS
VIEW COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TASKFORCE
WHEREAS, the City is required to update its Comprehensive Plan every ten years, with
the current update to be submitted to adjacent communities and agencies by spring, 2018, and
submitted to the Metropolitan Council by December 31, 2018; and,
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan will address; Land Use, Transportation, Water
Resources, Parks & Recreation, Housing, Resilience (optional), Economic Competitiveness
optional), and Implementation, and is intended to be consistent with the Metropolitan Council's
regional plan; Thrive 2040; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council considered the process of updating the Comprehensive
Plan at its June 6, 2016 Work Session, consenting to appointing a Taskforce consisting of nine
members representing the City Council (1), Planning Commission (2), Parks, Recreation, &
Forestry Commission (2), Economic Development Commission (2), and At -Large Residents (2);
and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission solicited interest from its members; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning and Zoning Commission
recommends the following Commissioners be appointed to the Comprehensive Plan Taskforce:
