Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance 404 and Public Notice { ORDINANCE NO. 404 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4 , SECTION 4. 02 OF THE HOME RULE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW The Council of the City of Mounds View does hereby ordain: SECTION I. The Mounds View Charter Commission met on December 19, 1985 and unanimously approved an amendment to the Home Rule Charter to comply with the provisions of Minnesota Law relating to the timelines for filing for candidacy for local office. SECTION II . Chapter 4, Section 4. 02 is amended to read as follows : Section 4. 02 Filing for Office. No earlier than feitp-twe fifty-six days nor later than twenty- e tht forty-two days before any municipal election, any resident of the city qualified under state law for elective office may by filing an affidavit and by paying a filing fee to the Clerk-Administrator in an amount as set by ordinance have his/her name placed on the municipal election ballot. SECTION III. This ordinance shall take effect 90 days after the date of its publication. Read by the City Council of the City of Mounds View this day of , 1986.
