SUBJECT: CHARTER COMMISSION AMENDMENT
Attached please find a letter from Charter Commission Chair
Charlotte Forslund dated December 7, 1987 indicating that
the Charter Commission at their meeting on November 19, 1987
unanimously voted to amend Chapter 4, Section 4. 02 of the
Charter to comply with the recent statutory changes relating
to deadlines for filing for elective office in municipal
elections.
Attached please find Ordinance No. 435 Amending the Charter
to comply with these new requirements and the actions taken
by the Charter Commission. The adoption of the Ordinance to
effectuate the Charter change must be by unanimous vote of
the City Council.
